13 Nov 21 - I went for breakfast here about 7 years ago and I’ve been hankering for one since. Had another one today and oh. my. lord. best brekkie I’ve had in months, maybe years. Bacon - Elite level, dry cured and crispy fatty bit. Sausages - Long, fat and scrumptious Eggs - Two and fried to perfection, yolk so gloopy it can be dipped and enjoyed. Hash Brown - My only grumble would be I could have had a second HOWEVER the one provided was a big fella so Beans - Heinz Shrooms - Fried properly and not slimy Coffee - Again, A1 Elite. The couple that run the place know their shiz and we had an Americano that tasted amazing and looked liked an ancient Japanese painting of mountains and a white coffee that made me buy a sack of beans on the way out. I called in for a latte and was very impressed. The shop interior has been reworked to give a light and airy atmosphere. Mark, the owners son was busily roasting the beans on the Probat. A friendly chat and a gorgeous coffee. In my experience it's never less than that. A tasty chocolate brownie to go with it. Mark you've excelled. I purchased a stock of the house roast beans to take home . The family all love the coffee.

If you want a decent cup of coffee, this is the place to go. I've been visiting this cafe for many years and the taste of the freshly ground coffee certainly gives Martyns offerings the edge over the mediocre coffee offerings served by local competitors. In addition, I had a lovely Lashford sausage sandwich, so whats not to like.

Good quality food, staff, and really great coffee. We liked the coffee so much we bought a couple different beans to use at home. Definitely worth a visit over other big chain brands on the high street

Most delicious takeaway sandwich ever! Highly recommend going here for brunch, not too expensive and not too normal. Can buy coffee and tea grounds there and see piece of history in there! Recommend getting the club sandwiches there as it is a mouthful and delicious.

Independently owned cafe that roasts their own coffee beans. We had the all-day breakfasts, which were delicious and very reasonable. Friendly and efficient service! There's parking reserved for customers at the back too.
